The Role
We are hiring a Soft Services Operative for a permanent opportunity based at our Alnwick site.
Join our dedicated Soft Services team and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and efficient environment across our site. As a Soft Services operative you will e responsible for cleaning, portering and waste collection activities that support the smooth operations of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cleaning activities to the standards confirmed in the site specification for laboratories, offices, corridors, and general areas including toilets
- To ensure where appropriate that all activities are conducted in accordance regulatory standards and current Standard Operating Procedures
- To ensure all equipment and store cupboards are kept clean and locked when not in use
- To ensure that storerooms are appropriately stocked and in a safe and tidy condition at all items and stock is rotated
- Reports any defects with machinery and demonstrates good safety behaviours and methods of work
Additional Tasks/responsibilities
- Assist Facilities Logistic Support in site deliveries and waste collections
- Works with due regard to health & safety of self & others
- Works flexibly across the site to meet business needs
Qualifications and experience required for competent performance
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Experience of cleaning within regulatory environments (e.g. GMP)
- knowledge of relevant health & safety requirements and of handling and using chemicals
- A collaborator being able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude
- Experience of using Microsoft Excel and Word software on a basic level
