Quotient Sciences is a leading drug development and manufacturing accelerator, helping biotech and pharma companies bring new medicines to patients faster. With over 35 years of experience and a track record of success, we provide Drug Product (CDMO) and Clinical (CRO) services across the entire development pathway, including formulation development, clinical pharmacology, clinical trials, and commercial product manufacturing. Our proprietary and disruptive platform – “Translational Pharmaceutics®” – integrates Drug Product Manufacturing and Clinical Testing to eliminate silos in the drug development process.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract. We’re looking for a QC Scientist to join our Nottingham team and play an important role in ensuring the quality of our pharmaceutical products. This is a great opportunity to build your experience in a GMP environment while working closely with a collaborative and supportive team. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to a variety of analytical techniques and see how your work directly supports clinical studies.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out analytical testing such as dissolution, HPLC, UV and FTIR
  • Complete laboratory write‑ups and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Support the preparation of specifications, protocols and reports
  • Help with QC release testing and management of clinical supplies
  • Record and investigate any quality incidents or deviations
  • Support SOP preparation and updates
  • Contribute to team training and knowledge sharing

Skills and experience required

  • HNC/HND in Chemistry or a related subject
  • Some experience in a QC or laboratory setting
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in a GMP or regulated environment
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical testing or clinical supplies
  • Experience writing or supporting documentation such as SOPs
