This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead the development of an AI/ML‑enabled drug development capability within Quotient Sciences’ Translational Pharmaceutics platform. You will play a key role in implementing innovative digital tools, driving scientific excellence, and influencing how future medicines are designed, developed and delivered. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the scientific strategy and delivery of our AI/ML‑driven drug development programmes.
- Manage and guide a matrix team of scientific and technical experts to ensure high‑quality input and on‑time project execution.
- Oversee the design, development and delivery of project plans, reports and presentations for internal teams and senior leadership.
- Drive the successful operationalisation of the AI/ML service offering by collaborating with consulting, pharmaceutical development, QA, regulatory, modelling and simulation, data sciences, clinical, medical and commercial teams.
- Identify and evaluate new applications for AI/ML and emerging technologies that enhance decision‑making or accelerate development for clients.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise to commercial and scientific teams, contributing to customer discussions, proposal development and conference representation.
- Prepare scientific publications, white papers and marketing materials, and present findings at conferences and webinars.
- Support the training and development of colleagues across scientific and technical groups.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure alignment of business processes with emerging standards.
- Oversee pilot projects and scale successful initiatives into routine development workflows.
- Embed AI solutions into real‑time decision‑making processes.
- Mentor scientists on correct application, interpretation and critical evaluation of AI outputs.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum BSc degree level in pharmaceutical sciences or a related subject with postgraduate qualifications.
- 5–10 years’ experience in drug product design and development.
- Strong expertise in oral solid dosage form development.
- Exceptional technical project management skills.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Postgraduate qualifications.
- Experience with QbD, early clinical development, pharmacokinetics or biopharmaceutics.
- Knowledge of in silico tools and prior experience implementing digital solutions such as AI/ML.
- Experience presenting at conferences or contributing to publications.
