We’re seeking a few talented professionals to join our team and help shape the future of our firm’s news editorial and/or research efforts.

Department: News and Research Department

Experience: 5+ years of analysing funds and asset managers

The Role:

We are looking for an exceptional individual/s who combine/s superior communication and writing skills with a strong ability to produce high-quality equity-style research or/and investment news. While expertise in all fund structures is ideal, we appreciate and welcome that candidates may specialise in specific areas. A deep understanding of one or more of the following is essential: ETFs, Investment Trusts, OEICs, VCTs, or LTAFs.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Crafting compelling and accurate investment research and/or news content.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of how fund managers operate and their strategies.
  • Leveraging industry connections to uncover insights and enhance our content.
  • Collaborating closely with the sales and marketing teams to align research outputs with business objectives.
  • Leading QuotedData’s news efforts, driving our editorial direction and ensuring timely, engaging, and insightful coverage.
  • Contributing to social media and corporate communications to amplify our reach and engage our audience effectively.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in financial writing, with a portfolio of high-quality, published work.
  • Strong understanding of the investment industry and fund structures.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex investment concepts for diverse audiences.
  • A proactive, investigative mindset to uncover trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong industry relationships and networking ability to enhance the breadth of our coverage.
  • Experience contributing to social media and corporate communications is a significant advantage.
  • CFA charter holder (or interest in training for) and Bachelor degree or better
  • Around 5+ years financial services experience, either as a journalist, editor or city analyst, preferably in asset management, investment banking or at a financial publication
