We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our established and fast-growing Data team. This is a hands-on role working across a wide range of client projects, from SMEs to large enterprise organisations. You’ll design and build modern data platforms that enable powerful analytics and business insights, using the latest Microsoft technologies. Whether you’re an experienced Data Engineer or looking to take the next step, you’ll be supported every step of the way with structured development, access to a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and clear opportunities to grow your technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to scope and design data solutions aligned to their analytical needs
- Build modern Data Warehouse and Data Lake/Lakehouse solutions (primarily using Microsoft Fabric)
- Design and develop complex ETL/ELT pipelines
- Deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing data platforms and infrastructure
- Implement best practices across data architecture, performance, and security
- Produce clear technical documentation for design, delivery, and ongoing support
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer-facing skills, with experience gathering requirements and running workshops
- Experience with Microsoft data technologies (e.g. Fabric, Azure, SQL Server, Power BI)
- Solid coding skills in data-focused tools/languages (e.g. Python, SQL, Data Factory)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of projects
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) or statistics is advantageous
