Play a pivotal role in shaping our people culture and driving capability across a high‑performing manufacturing site.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As the on‑site People and Capability Lead, you’ll provide strategic and hands‑on people partnership to support operational priorities across safety, quality, service, cost and culture. You’ll work closely with frontline teams and leadership, maintaining a strong shop floor presence to understand colleague sentiment and operational needs in real time. You’ll bring people insight into daily, weekly and monthly operational routines which inform decisions, identify risks, and ensure compliance with HR processes and employment legislation. You’ll lead cultural initiatives, engagement activities and wellbeing programmes, ensuring colleagues feel supported, included and empowered. You’ll also drive talent and capability development on site by managing skills matrices, supporting development pathways, embedding the "Learn-Do-Teach" methodology, overseeing training backlogs, and guiding talent calibration and performance processes. Alongside this, you’ll support employee relations casework, coach leaders on performance and capability, and ensure people processes are delivered to a consistently high standard. The position will be based full-time at our Methwold site, with occasional travel to Leeds and Stokesley as required.

What Experience You'll Need To Have

  • Proven background in a HR generalist or people operations capacity within a fast-paced sector such as manufacturing, retail or logistics
  • Knowledge of employment relations practices, performance management and UK employment law
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to use people and operational data to identify trends, risks and actions
  • Ability to work effectively in a shop-floor environment, engaging with a range of stakeholders across multiple shifts and operational settings
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrable capability in talent, succession and skills development
  • A passion for healthy, sustainable products which are better for our consumers and the planet

The Recruitment Process

  • 1st Stage - 45 mins/1 hour Microsoft Teams introductory call with our Senior People Partner & Resourcing Partner
  • 2nd Stage - in-person interview at our offices in Methwold with key stakeholders functional stakeholders
