Quoris3D is seeking a qualified and experienced Ceramics Dental Technician to join our growing ceramics department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with a natural eye for form, colour and detail to develop their career within a state-of-the-art digital dental laboratory. The successful candidate will work across a varied caseload, from single-unit restorations and small-span bridges through to complex implant and full-arch cases. Our workload is currently focused largely on implant dentistry, with a growing volume of conventional crown and bridge, veneer and aesthetic restorative cases.
You will join an experienced ceramics team comprising three senior technicians and one apprentice, providing a collaborative environment in which high standards, technical development and shared learning are strongly valued. We are looking for someone who combines sound technical ability with artistic flair, consistency and pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality ceramic restorations to prescription and specification.
- Work on a varied caseload including:
- Single crowns
- Small-span bridges
- Veneers
- Implant restorations
- Full-arch implant cases
- Complete finishing, staining and glazing of zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations.
- Work with materials including e.max and zirconia.
- Assess shape, contour, texture, shade and surface characterisation to achieve natural-looking results.
- Support the manufacture of both conventional and digitally produced restorations.
- Follow case instructions, photographs, shade information and digital design references accurately.
- Work closely with colleagues across ceramics, CAD, CAM and other production departments.
- Maintain consistent quality while meeting agreed production timescales.
- Carry out quality checks before cases progress to final inspection or dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional workstation.
- Handle patient-specific medical devices with care and attention.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of ceramic techniques and laboratory workflows.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Dental Technician, with an appropriate recognised qualification.
- At least three years of relevant laboratory experience is preferred.
- Practical experience producing ceramic dental restorations.
- Experience working with e.max and zirconia.
- A strong understanding of dental anatomy, morphology and occlusion.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A natural flair for shape, texture, colour and aesthetics.
- The ability to produce accurate, consistent and high-quality work.
- Good organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and work to production deadlines.
- A professional, clean and methodical approach.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of an experienced team.
- A portfolio demonstrating the quality and range of previous ceramic work.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Ceramic layering experience.
- Experience with implant-supported restorations.
- Experience with full-arch implant cases.
- Experience producing veneers and high-aesthetic anterior work.
- Familiarity with digital dental workflows.
- Experience working from digital designs and milled frameworks.
- Shade-taking or advanced characterisation experience.
- Experience in a busy, quality-led commercial laboratory.
Ceramic layering would be a valuable additional skill, although the quality of the candidate’s overall work, artistic ability and willingness to continue developing will be equally important.
About the Role
The position offers significant variety and the opportunity to work on both routine and complex restorative cases. Depending on experience, the successful candidate may be involved in work ranging from straightforward posterior units through to highly aesthetic anterior cases and full-arch implant restorations. The role will suit someone who enjoys technical variety and wants to continue building their skills within a supportive and experienced team. This is not a purely production-focused position. We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in the appearance, fit and finish of every restoration and understands the importance of producing work that meets both clinical and patient expectations.
Our Ceramics Team
You will join an established ceramics department currently made up of three experienced senior ceramic technicians and one apprentice technician. The team works collaboratively, sharing knowledge and supporting one another across a wide range of cases. This provides an excellent environment for an experienced technician who wants to continue refining their skills while also contributing their own knowledge and ideas.
