If you're someone who enjoys helping others, building positive relationships, and supporting young people through challenges, a Learning Mentor role could be the perfect opportunity. We're currently working with a number of specialist schools across Farnborough and the surrounding areas, looking for compassionate and resilient individuals to join them as Learning Mentors on both flexible and long-term placements. No previous school experience is required. What matters most is your ability to connect with young people, remain calm in challenging situations, and provide consistent support to students who may need extra guidance emotionally or behaviourally. We'll provide training, support, and school experience to help you feel confident stepping into the role.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students with emotional and behavioural needs (often SEMH)
- Helping young people regulate emotions and build confidence
- Developing strong and trusting relationships with students
- Working alongside teachers, SEN teams, and pastoral staff
- Providing a calm, encouraging, and reliable presence throughout the school day
