We are working with a number of specialist schools across Fleet that are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams on both flexible and long-term placements.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Helping pupils access learning both inside and outside the classroom.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Building strong relationships with students to support their progress.
- Working closely with teachers and SEN teams to provide consistent support.
Role Summary
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students develop confidence, independence, and resilience, and you will gain practical experience supporting young people with a wide range of needs while developing skills that are valuable for careers in teaching, educational psychology, clinical psychology, speech and language therapy, youth work, and behavioural and pastoral support.
