Purpose of Role
The Finance Systems Accountant (Analyst) will develop and optimise our ERP system (UNIT 4 ERPx). Quod has invested in implementing the system as “One Version of the Truth” bringing significant opportunities to improvement to all our financial and non-financial reporting.
You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the system driving continuous improvement in financial control processes and policies, enhancing the value of the financial data, providing insights to support overall accounting function and extending the range of management tools used to inform the organisation. This role rather than simply maintains systems; you will be involved in shaping how finance operates by improving reporting capabilities and delivering insights that support strategic decisions across the organisation.
Key Accountabilities
Finance Systems Innovation – lead the development and enhancement of UNIT4 ERPx based on business demands across the business.
Work closely with Finance teams and external contractors to ensure timely and meaningful reporting systems.
Function as UNIT (ERPx) system administration workstream lead, responsible for resolving incidents and tracking change requests.
- Manage UNIT 4 related incidents and process requests. Liaise with U4 in relation to issues raised and ensure SLAs maintained. Ensure all issues are solved on a timely basis.
- Work closely with Finance team to ensure quarterly software updates are tested and does not have a detrimental impact of our current practices.
- Support any User Acceptance Testing required due to process change or upgrades.
- Be the main point of contact with UNIT 4 ERPx
Data Analytics and Insight Generation
- Design and deliver dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI and UNIT4 ERPx to provide real time insights for decision makers across the business.
- Developing of ERPx Reports as required across various departments across the business.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data to maintain data quality.
Maintain documentation of the financial system procedures, workflows, and controls.
Training and Change enablement
- Identify learning needs for UNIT ERPx and deliver training to end -users companywide to drive best practice.
- Responsible to provide and ERPx information/tips on our bimonthly QUODS UP email.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, understanding their requirements of UNIT4 ERPx system and setting expectations of its capabilities.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure all system changes and processes comply with internal control frameworks, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust documentation and audit trail for systems development.
