Purpose of Role
To support the financial operations of the business, oversee accuracy of financial transactions, month end closing and preparation of Management accounts.
Manage the financial operations team and dealing with queries.
Distributing budget reports and dealing with queries.
This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate and efficient processes and supporting the Head of Finance with systems development.
- Key Accountabilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Produce draft monthly management accounts including and P&L, balance sheet.
- Manage the month end closing process of all ledgers.
- Maintain accurate revenue recognition, WIP, accrued/ deferred revenue.
- Lead all Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage the monthly Fixed Asset Register.
- Revenue, Billing & Project Finance
- Ensure accurate time recording and T&E coding.
- Oversee invoicing cycles - accuracy, timeliness, compliance with client contracts.
- Review and reconcile WIP; ensure appropriate revenue cut-off.
- Assist Head of Finance to analyse project/team profitability, utilisation etc.
- Cashflow & Working Capital
- Monitor receivables and lead credit control efforts.
- Manage supplier payments and cashflow prioritisation.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist the Head of Finance with bi-annual budgeting process.
- Produce monthly budget reports for all operational heads.
- Operational Finance & Controls
- Ensure VAT, PAYE and tax submissions are compliant and timely.
- Maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
- Management and Development of ERP (ERPx) system
- Collaborate with Head of Finance/Finance systems Accountant for development of the ERPx Road Map.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance and operations.
- Team Management
- Collaborate across team.
- Manage the Credit control Lead, Senior Accounts Coordinator and Accounts Payable, Finance Manager.
- Governance and Compliance
- Ensure all system changes and processes comply with internal control frameworks, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
