Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve incident tickets assigned by the support desk to the Software support team.
- Provide regular updates to users and end-to-end ownership of assigned incidents through to closure.
- Provide support for major incidents providing root cause analysis.
- Contribute to system improvements by reviewing current practices and helping to suggest modifications.
- Help with the testing and documentation of new software and processes.
- Assist in recommending controls by identifying issues and helping to write basic improved procedures.
- Maintain and update system configuration documentation as directed.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work with all areas of the business and communicate at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Some formal IT Service Desk knowledge and skills.
- Ideally will have worked in a retail environment.
- Ideally have experience of supporting one of the following areas: EPOS, Customer Order Management, Warehousing, financial and ERP.
