They are seeking an Associate at 5–7 PQE to join the UK Private Client group in their Cheltenham office. This is City-quality work based in the beautiful Cotswolds. The office of just over 100 people has a strong sense of community, while the firm's wider UK and international network means the work and clients you'll be exposed to are limitless. Core to the team's client base are investors and entrepreneurs, landed estates and heritage property, and professionals and senior executives. Working with a range of Partners, the Associate will advise UK clients on succession and tax planning, where the estates in question are often complex and of high value, developing broad experience alongside a more specialised expertise. Provide practical and commercial legal advice to clients in a clear and succinct manner. Manage a substantial and varied workload efficiently and cost effectively, with supervision appropriate to your level of expertise. Draft more complex documents with minimum instruction and supervision, making use of appropriate precedents. Comply with all relevant regulatory obligations, including the SRA Standards and Regulations. Excellent knowledge of the law and practice in relation to the administration of estates. A thorough understanding of inheritance tax and trusts. Confident in both verbal and written communication with a diverse range of clients, with a flexible approach and willingness to go the extra mile.
