Our client is a leading international professional services firm with a global presence, providing legal, corporate, and fiduciary services to sophisticated corporate and financial clients. They are seeking a high-calibre Client Relationship Manager to join their London office and act as a central point of contact for a portfolio of key clients. Based in the London office, the Client Relationship Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of a defined portfolio of clients, including all non-legal communications (as related to non-billable work) and proactive relationship management to elevate client satisfaction, protect existing relationships, and expand service lines across the firm. The role also includes ad hoc responsibilities as determined by Senior Management. This is a premium, client-facing role requiring a strategic and highly organised individual who can manage client relationships, handle all non-legal communications, and support the expansion of services within their portfolio. The position involves close collaboration with senior colleagues and the broader professional services team to ensure client satisfaction and seamless service delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure overall health of the client portfolio with respect to compliance with government and statutory requirements, internal KYC/CDD, and maintenance of accounts receivable.
- Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive and exceptional service, acting as their go-to contact for all non-legal queries and workflows.
- Serve as a key point of contact between the client, the professional services team, and the law firm, supporting all administrative and compliance matters, including client portals, billing enquiries, and other non-billable assistance.
- Collaborate with Relationship Partners and senior colleagues to strategise on cross-selling and expansion opportunities across the firm’s services, developing an in-depth understanding of client businesses and needs.
- Promote the firm’s marketing materials to clients and intermediaries as appropriate, and partner with internal marketing teams on client engagement initiatives.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and broader initiatives as required by Senior Management.
Person Specification
- Corporate Services experience is essential – candidates from banking, private wealth, pensions, or unrelated sectors will not be considered.
- Minimum 5–6 years’ experience with strong tenure in previous roles (ideally within one or two organisations).
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Experienced and confident in client-facing roles, acting as a trusted primary contact for a portfolio of clients.
- Able to work from the London office 4 days per week, with a US-shift pattern (approx. 10:00–10:30 start).
- Naturally driven, ambitious, and results-oriented, with excellent interpersonal and soft skills.
- Broad understanding of corporate services, with training provided for cross-selling opportunities.
