This is a full-time, hybrid role. Our office is in the Baltic Triangle, Liverpool. While we offer flexibility, we’re a sociable team, so we’re looking for someone who can regularly commute in for collaboration and team events.

Responsibilities
  • Lead our SEO department, setting the strategic direction, and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
  • Oversee the full spectrum of SEO - from strategy and performance to team leadership and innovation.
  • Define and evolve our overall SEO offering and vision.
  • Lead strategy across all client accounts and ensure high standards of delivery.
  • Mentor and manage a growing SEO team, supporting both performance and development.
  • Collaborate with other department leads (Content, PR, Dev, Strategy) to align efforts and drive integrated campaigns.
  • Oversee key client relationships, contributing to growth, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Use data to drive decisions and refine processes - ensuring campaigns are insight-led and outcome-focused.
  • Stay ahead of industry changes and lead the adoption of new tools, tactics, and tech.
  • Support business development efforts with strategic input, proposals, and pitches.
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in SEO, with a strong blend of strategic, technical, and leadership skills.
  • Proven experience managing teams and delivering growth at scale.
  • Deep understanding of SEO principles – from crawling and indexing to content strategy and link building.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to tie SEO activity to business outcomes.
  • Confident communicator with experience in client leadership and stakeholder management.
  • High proficiency with core SEO and analytics tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, GSC, etc.).
  • Highly organised, with a systems-thinking approach to workflow and process improvement.
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for knowledge sharing and developing others.
