Position Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you are a direct point of contact for any patient, caregiver, referral source, or commercial account that contacts Quipt Home Medical either in person, over the telephone or via the internet, to provide equipment and/or services. CSSs interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products or services and handle and resolve any complaints. CSS receives, qualifies, and processes customer orders in a timely, efficient, accurate, and courteous manner, and investigates and responds to inquiries regarding shipments, products, deliveries and complaints.

Essential Responsibilities
- Comprehensive understanding of all products, company policies, Brightree functions, intake procedures, insurance verification, CMN requirements, documentation, financial responsibilities, order types, complaint resolution procedures.
- Answer telephone with professional greeting, take accurate messages, transfer callers.
- Greet visitors, direct to appropriate personnel.
- Distribute mail and monitor fax machine, distribute correspondence.
- Qualify orders, verify insurance to process third‑party billing.
- Input customer orders, process work orders, prescriptions, arrange convenient delivery/pickup.
- Handle complaints appropriately, audit deliveries, track rentals, process prior authorizations.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, support quality assurance reports, instruct customers on equipment use.
- Perform all duties in other company locations when required and any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a clerical or customer service environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Proficient general office skills (typing, computer, fax, filing, multiple phone lines).
- Neat personal appearance with pleasing manner and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills with capacity to make independent decisions.
- Medicare/Medicaid and insurance billing, bookkeeping or medical office experience preferred.
