Location: Newport

Overview: Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a well-established Large Regional practice firm based in Newport who are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper.

Main Duties:

  • Data processing and reconciliations both at client's premises and in the office
  • Bookkeeping to accruals and prepayments level
  • Preparation of VAT Returns
  • Assistance on accounts preparation
  • Other ad-hoc duties

Experience / Qualifications Required:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' Bookkeeping experience working within Practice
  • Proficient with modern software packages such as Xero or Quickbooks is desirable
  • Able to organise and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Aware of relevant financial targets and constraints and contributes to achieving these, keeping manager informed of progress and potential problems including actual vs budget
