Due to sustained growth within my client's Swindon office, they are seeking to recruit an Audit and Accounts Associate to assist the team in the delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation services. The work will be approximately 50% audit and 50% accounts, with an equal emphasis on the Charity/Not-for-Profit sector alongside the commercial or general practice side of things.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance in the delivery of audit/accounts assignments for Charity and Not-For-Profit sector, Limited Companies (including groups), Sole Traders, and Partnerships from both balanced systems including cloud-based software and incomplete records.
  • Preparing draft corporation tax and business tax computations including supporting analysis.
  • Delivering information and communicating with clients in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assisting on ad-hoc project work.

Skills and Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA trainee with at least 2 years of practice experience (qualification by experience will be considered).
  • Experience in the charity and Not-for-Profit sector or a desire to learn and become involved in this sector.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize several jobs, whilst demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines and expectations are met.
  • Ideally, experience assisting on audits including planning, preparation, and completion (training will also be provided).
  • Display a working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards for Auditing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
  • Display commercial awareness.
