Job Summary: The ideal candidate seeks a challenge, is hands-on, target-driven, and will be instrumental in growing the tour operator side of the business through sales skills and product knowledge. They will maximize customer inquiries by working with preferred partners to provide excellent service, converting inquiries into profitable sales, and meeting or exceeding targets. Flexibility to attend supplier and consumer events is required.

Key Duties:

  • Drive sales within QT and maximize margins with each sale.
  • Manage client contact from booking to trip completion, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Resolve client complaints efficiently.
  • Sell holidays to Quintessentially Members and Non-Members.
  • Coordinate with Lifestyle Managers.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries via phone and email.
  • Use effective sales techniques to close sales and meet targets.
  • Prepare quotes with specified margins.
  • Stay informed about all website products and luxury travel trends.
  • Participate in a rota for the emergency phone approximately every 7 weeks.
  • Follow up on quotes/enquiries for maximum conversions.
  • Work towards individual and team targets.
  • Monitor competitors and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Maximize profits using preferred suppliers.
  • Ensure timely client payments.
  • Pay attention to detail to minimize errors.
  • Gather and communicate client feedback for continuous improvement.

General: Keep cost sheets updated for team handovers. Proficient in IT, especially Word and Excel. Manage emails effectively. Handle requests within deadlines. Accurately record client information. Problem-solve to maintain service levels. Inform members of terms and conditions before booking. Attend team and development meetings. Share product knowledge through meetings and reports. Represent the company at events and exhibitions.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience in a concierge company.
  • Tour operation background.
  • Experience with incentives and small events.
  • GDS knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years in concierge/travel sales.
  • Experience with VIP/high net worth clients.
  • Proven sales success, top 10% performer.
  • Knowledge of tour operation and quoting from FIT contracts.
  • Ability to tailor luxury travel packages.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet objectives.
  • Team player and autonomous worker.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Track record of driving new business.
  • Outstanding customer service reputation.
  • Continuous learning about industry trends and destinations.
  • Knowledge of luxury hotel groups and regions like Europe, Scandinavia, Australasia, Americas, Middle East, India, Indian Ocean, Far East.

Reporting to: UK Travel Team Sales Manager.

Hours of Work: 09:00-17:30 Monday-Friday, with possible additional hours for role requirements.
