The Post Certification - Project Engineer is responsible for reviewing and risk assessing post-certification changes in SW & HW for xHEV & BEV propulsion systems. The role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with new regulations like UNR 155 & 156.
Key Responsibilities
- Review risk assessments for post-certification changes related to xHEV/BEV propulsion systems.
- Assess change request content against applicable regulations.
- Develop summary slide packs capturing all calibration changes.
- Monitor compliance and provide guidance to project teams.
Key Metrics
- Knowledge of EV propulsion regulations, including:
- Battery safety and performance (e.g., UNECE R100, FMVSS No. 305a, GTR No. 22)
- Charging systems (AC/DC standards, ISO 15118, IEC 61851)
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards (e.g., UNECE R10)
- Electric Drive Unit (EDU) performance and safety standards
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
- Experience in automotive powertrain testing/R&D preferably in Hybrid & EV domain.
- Experience in test data acquisition and analysis, and associated toolchain.
- Knowledge & understanding of xHEV & BEV Propulsion regulations (UNECE R100, UNECE R10, FMVSS No. 305a, GTR No. 22, AC/DC standards, ISO 15118, IEC 61851 etc).
- Presentation and Communication skills.

- Degree or equivalent education in Automotive/mechanical or relevant disciplines.
