We are looking for a reliable and proactive Yard Operative to join our site team and help keep our logistics operation running smoothly. This is a hands-on role responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, supporting drivers, coordinating yard movements, and ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently. The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis, and the hours of work will be 7.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: Safely load and unload bags and cages from vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with drivers and the production team to manage clean and dirty linen movements.
  • Yard Coordination: Oversee the yard and trunking operations, ensuring a smooth logistics flow.
  • Deliveries: Receive and manage deliveries efficiently.
Requirements
  • English communication skills — able to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • The physical ability to carry out loading and unloading tasks.
  • A responsible, safety-focused approach to work.
  • Experience in a transport, warehouse or yard environment is beneficial but not essential.
  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
