We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with proven experience in a similar role.
You will be working primarily with Zintec steel ranging from 1.2mm to 3mm thickness, carrying out high-quality MIG welding and fabrication work to meet precise specifications and deadlines.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has excellent attention to detail and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- MIG welding and fabrication of components using Zintec steel from 1.2mm to 3mm thickness.
- Reading and accurately interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out fabrication work to a consistently high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Ensuring all assigned tasks and projects are completed efficiently and within required timescales.
- Checking finished work to ensure it meets required standards and specifications.
- Maintaining a high level of attention to detail throughout the fabrication and welding process.
- Working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Supporting colleagues and the wider team during busy and pressured periods.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining safe working practices.
- Successfully completing practical welding and fabrication tests as part of the recruitment proces.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication.Strong experience in MIG welding.Good knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques and processes.Experience working with Zintec steel, particularly between 1.2mm and 3mm thickness.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.Excellent attention to detail with a committment to producing high-quality work.Good numeracy and reading skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.A hard-working, reliable and can-do attitude.Ability to remain productive and support the team under pressure.Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.Willingness and ability to undertake a practical welding test.
