As a fast-growing, family-owned logistics specialist, our warehouse teams play a vital role in delivering accurate, efficient and reliable supply chain solutions for some of the UK’s most recognised brands across the food, engineering and automotive sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Nightshift Warehouse Operative / FLT Operative to join our warehouse team. This is a hands-on role where you will support the smooth movement of goods through the warehouse, from receiving stock and completing quality checks through to inventory control, order preparation and outbound loading.

This role would suit someone with strong warehouse experience, good attention to detail and confidence operating warehouse equipment safely and professionally. As a Warehouse Operative / FLT Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, accurate and efficient handling of stock across the warehouse operation. You will work as part of a busy team to receive, move, store, pick, pack and load products in line with customer requirements, site procedures and quality standards. The role requires a practical, organised and safety-focused individual who takes pride in doing the job properly and maintaining high standards throughout the working day.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and confident working in a busy warehouse environment. The successful candidate should have:

  • Proven experience working as a Warehouse Operative.
  • A minimum of one year’s FLT experience.
  • Experience using inventory software and warehouse systems.
  • A good understanding of modern warehousing practices and methods.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail when checking, moving and recording stock.
  • A commitment to safe working practices and quality standards.
  • The ability to communicate and work well with supervisors and colleagues.
  • A high level of honesty, integrity and accountability.
Experience operating one or more of the following would be advantageous:
  • Counterbalance Truck.
  • Powered Pallet Truck, also known as PPT.
  • VNA Truck.
