Job Summary
NRG Riverside, the UK’s largest municipal and specialist fleet hire company, is hiring experienced HGV Technicians for its Waltham Cross depot. You will be responsible for servicing and repairing a wide variety of vehicles, including RCVs (refuse collection vehicles). Specialist training will be provided where needed.
Salary and Working Hours
Salary: £53,773.20 per annum
Working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:30
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a HGV Technician/Mechanic/Engineer/Fleet Engineer role
- Municipal experience, including working on RCVs, is a plus
- Tacho calibration, repairs and wheel alignment
- HGV Technical qualification – NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent
- Class 2 licence preferred
- Working in a similar role with understanding of the HGV industry
- Strong teamwork with ability to work independently
- Awareness of Health and Safety practices
Key Responsibilities
- Routine inspection and repair of internal & external vehicle components within the NRG workshop estate
- Commercial vehicle MOT inspections, repairs, and final preparation for MOT test
- Attend breakdowns, diagnose and complete necessary repairs to a high standard
- Complete all compliance paperwork associated with the repair and maintenance of the rental fleet
