  • Green's Power Ltd | Wakefield | Full-Time | Permanent | Office Based

Green's Power Ltd is looking for an organised and proactive Bid & Tender Coordinator to join our team in Wakefield and support the coordination of bids, tenders, quotations and proposals across the business.

This is a role for someone who is good at keeping things moving.

You'll work across Sales, Estimating, Engineering, Projects and other departments, bringing together the information needed to complete customer submissions, keeping track of deadlines and making sure bids and proposals are accurate, complete and professionally presented.

There will be an administrative side to the position - maintaining records, updating systems, preparing documents and following up outstanding information - but you'll have visibility of live opportunities across the business and play an important part in helping Green's respond effectively to customer enquiries and tenders.

You don't necessarily need to come from a power generation background.

We're interested in people with previous bid, tender, proposal or sales support experience, as well as strong coordinators or administrators who are ready to take the next step.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for coordinating the information and documentation required throughout the bid and tender process.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Coordinating bids, tenders, quotations and customer proposals from initial enquiry through to submission.
  • Reviewing tender and enquiry documentation to identify requirements, actions and deadlines.
  • Working with Sales, Estimating, Engineering, Projects and other teams to gather the information needed for submissions.
  • Keeping track of deadlines and proactively following up outstanding information.
  • Preparing, formatting and proofreading bid and proposal documentation.
  • Supporting the submission of completed tenders through customer portals and other submission methods.
  • Maintaining accurate records of bids, proposals and customer enquiries.
  • Keeping CRM and bid status systems accurate and up to date.
  • Maintaining standard bid information including company details, policies, certificates, CVs and case studies.
  • Coordinating responses to customer clarification requests.
  • Supporting bid, enquiry and sales reporting.
  • Helping us improve the quality, organisation and consistency of our bid and proposal documentation.

What We're Looking For

This role will suit someone who is highly organised, comfortable working to deadlines and confident chasing people for the information they need.

You'll often be coordinating input from several people at the same time, so you need to be able to keep track of what is outstanding, prioritise effectively and make sure submissions don't lose momentum.

Attention to detail is also important. Our bids and proposals are going directly to customers, so documents need to be accurate, professional and properly presented.

Previous experience in a bid, tender, proposal, sales support, commercial administration or coordination role would be advantageous.

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, energy, power generation or another technical environment would be beneficial, but it isn't essential if you have strong transferable experience.

  • You Should Have
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written communication, grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills and a good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Confidence communicating with people across different departments and levels of a business.
  • The ability to manage several priorities and deadlines at once.
  • A proactive approach - particularly when following up outstanding actions and information.
  • The confidence to take ownership of tasks and keep them moving.
  • A professional approach when handling customer and commercially sensitive information.

Experience using CRM systems, tender portals, databases or bid trackers would be advantageous, but training can be provided on our systems.

As part of the role, you will receive

  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 1 additional day of birthday leave
  • Career progression and development opportunities
  • The opportunity to build experience within an established specialist engineering business
  • Location
  • Green's Power Ltd – Wakefield

This is a full-time, permanent, office-based position.

About Green's Power

Green's Power operates within the specialist engineering and power generation sector, providing engineering solutions and services to customers across a range of industrial markets.

You'll be joining an established engineering business and working closely with colleagues across our commercial and technical teams, giving you exposure to the full process behind how opportunities are developed, priced, submitted and secured.

For someone looking to develop a career within bids, commercial coordination or sales support, there is plenty of opportunity to build your knowledge and experience as you develop within the role.

If you're organised, good with detail and deadlines, and you're the type of person who likes to take ownership, coordinate people and get things over the line, we'd like to hear from you.
