We are now looking for an organized and proactive Transport and Administration Controller to join our busy Transport team.

The Role

This is a varied role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our transport operation. You will provide support across multiple ATL sites when required. A driving licence and a vehicle are essential. You will help coordinate transport schedules, maintain accurate records, support drivers and agency partners, communicate with customers and internal teams, and ensure key transport administration is completed accurately and on time. There will also be an element of contract support, including resource tracking, agency coordination, onboarding, assessments, inductions, and maintaining visibility of driver and vehicle requirements. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced logistics environment, can manage changing priorities, and has a strong eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and coordination of transport schedules, deliveries, and collections
  • Act as a key point of contact for drivers, agency partners, customers, and internal departments
  • Maintain accurate transport records, trackers, spreadsheets, and system updates
  • Prepare driver paperwork, delivery documentation, PODs, and dispatch packs
  • Support agency bookings, attendance tracking, onboarding, assessments, and inductions
  • Help maintain visibility of driver and vehicle availability across the operation
  • Monitor POD returns and support customer KPI requirements
  • Assist with purchase orders, invoices, timesheets, and general transport administration
  • Support compliance, audit readiness, and safe working practices
  • Escalate issues, gaps, delays, or missing information to the relevant manager promptly

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a transport, logistics, warehousing, distribution, fleet, or operational environment
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably within transport or logistics
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise with drivers, customers, agencies, and internal teams
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and relevant systems
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider operational team
  • Flexibility to support multiple sites when required
  • A professional, reliable, and proactive approach
  • Experience with agency labour, bookings, onboarding, assessments, inductions, transport systems, or POD processes would be advantageous

Qualifications

You should be qualified to GCSE level, or equivalent, in English and Maths.
