• What you'll be doing
• Overseeing daily warehouse operations during your assigned shift, keeping things running smoothly from start to finish
• Managing and supporting your team to hit productivity and efficiency targets, shift after shift
• Making sure staffing levels are always right — planning around overtime, absences, and seasonal peaks
• Assigning tasks and keeping a close eye on performance against operational goals
• Ensuring rock-solid shift handovers so nothing gets lost between teams
• Leading Return to Work meetings with fairness and consistency
• Carrying out investigations and playing your part in the disciplinary process when needed
• Delivering full inductions for all new starters — including agency staff — so everyone's confident in our processes and procedures from day one
• Conducting staff probationary reviews and helping new team members settle in and succeed

• Proven experience managing people in a warehouse, logistics, or fast-paced operational environment
• Confidence handling HR processes — return to work meetings, absence management, investigations, and disciplinaries
• A genuine knack for organising people and tasks under pressure, especially during busy or seasonal periods
• Strong communication skills — you make sure nothing falls through the cracks between shifts
• A fair, structured approach to onboarding and developing new team members, including agency staff
