Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute efficient daily and weekly production plans to meet forecasted volumes, ensuring optimal use of labour, materials, and equipment while adhering to customer specifications and company procedures.
  • Plan and organise staffing requirements, liaising with labour providers and Team Managers to ensure sufficient cover for forecasted volumes and proactively manage overtime or contingency needs.
  • Process all customer orders accurately and on time, maintaining up-to-date information in Prophet and related systems, and ensuring data integrity across stock, job closures, and EDI activations.
  • Maintain livestock accuracy across all sites and systems, ensuring the correct product and materials are issued for production and dispatch while minimising rework and waste.
  • Produce and analyse regular reports on production performance, stock accuracy, and order fulfilment; track KPIs such as OTIF, yield, and efficiency, highlighting variances and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, reduce waste, and streamline administrative processes; support system upgrades and process innovation through testing, feedback, and training.

Quality, Compliance & Food Safety:

  • Ensure all production planning and order processing activities comply with hygiene, health & safety, food safety, and customer standards, maintaining full traceability and supporting internal/external audits.

Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication across Production, Procurement and Commercial teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and smooth handovers between shifts as well as support the logistics team to ensure accurate and on-time vehicle departures and dispatch performance.
  • Provide training and guidance on planning systems and procedures, support colleagues across departments, and foster teamwork and continuous improvement within the planning function.

Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility:

  • Integrate sustainability considerations into production planning by supporting efficient resource usage and collaborating with Procurement and Production to align with ethical and seasonal sourcing goals.
  • Ensure brand integrity is maintained for Worldwide Fruit and our customers by following policies and procedures so the product meets the expected standard and specification.
  • Ensure that care and attention is dedicated to what we produce is to the best of our ability for all brands involved.
