Manage numerous Cell Leaders and their lines including teams of Production Team Members on our AM Shift (06:00-14:30).

This role has a responsibility for food safety, health and safety and brand integrity.

  • Carry out duties as per company training, work instructions and standard operating procedures – do not carry out tasks you have not been trained to do.
  • Work to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as outlined in your onsite induction.
  • Work to good hygiene and housekeeping practices set out by the company, keeping your work area clean and tidy.
  • Be aware and observant of Health & Safety regulations ensuring you uphold a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Report any food safety, product quality or health and safety issues observed with your direct manager or a member of the QA Team.
  • Report accidents, near misses or “don’t walk by’s” via your direct manager or the C Fresh App.
  • Ensure all equipment you use is used correctly and returned in good condition. Report any damages or defects to your direct manager.
  • Ensure product is of good quality, complete quality checks as you work including but not limited to veins, shell, freezer burn, foreign body, pack seal integrity, pack coding.
  • Ensure fire exits remain clear from obstructions at all times.

This is a chilled environment, temperatures in this department can range from 4-8 degrees. We appreciate this is not for everyone so please do consider before applying.

Please note; we handle crustaceans. If you have an airborne allergy to prawns, shellfish or mollusks, we do not recommend that you apply for a production based position.

Requirements

  • Assigns roles and gives instructions to team members reporting to them.
  • Monitors GMP, food safety and people safety for their line and also their area.
  • Resolves local issues independently but informs Area Manager & QA where necessary.
  • Completes food safety audit weekly.
  • Filling-in appropriate/relevant paperwork.
  • Problem solves and complete route cause analysis in relation to machine breakdowns independently, effectively decides when to contact engineering.
  • Reports Issues to Area Manager efficiently and effectively.
  • Motivates and encourages members of the team to achieve targets.
  • Liaise with wider members of the team in order to complete role effectively; share issues such as delays, ingredient shortages and equipment issues quickly to necessary stakeholders.
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset, raises ideas and suggestions for process improvements.
  • Enthusiastic approach to new products, recipes, and processes.
  • Willing to help others to reach team goals by sharing best practice
  • Close out non conformances within 7 calendar days
  • Maintain absence levels below 3% for area
  • Complete Performance and probationary reviews for staff
  • Hold investigation, disciplinary hearings with support from HR
