THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated
Production Team Leader to join our team at Heler Foods Packing.
This is more than a supervisory role — it's an opportunity to lead by example, inspire your team and play a key part in delivering safe, high-quality food production.
You'll work closely with the Area Leader to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and operational performance.
In this role, you will
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, GMP and food safety standards at all times.
- Deliver the daily production plan OTIF (On Time In Full), achieving OEE targets whilst maintaining product quality and safety.
- Lead, coach and motivate your team to deliver excellent performance and foster a positive working environment.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of departmental processes and systems, communicating these effectively to optimise production efficiencies.
- Support the Area Leader in delivering departmental KPIs and continuous improvement objectives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed and high standards are maintained across the department.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in this role will be measured through the achievement of key departmental KPIs, including:
- OTIF delivery of the production plan whilst maintaining quality.
- Staffing levels, skills capability and production output.
- Cheese giveaway, prime yield, offcut levels, PPM and OEE performance.
- Equipment and staff swab pass rates.
- Near-miss and hazard reporting.
- Timely close-out of non-conformances.

- Proven experience leading and motivating a production team to successfully deliver production plans.
- A strong understanding of company policies relating to Health & Safety and environmental sustainability.
- Knowledge of BRC and customer quality standards.
- A practical understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) techniques.
- Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Supervisory Management.
