Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - Days and Nights

Salary: £45,500 per annum plus benefits including Life Assurance, Pension Scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, Recommend a Friend Bonus Scheme, Performance Awards, Long Service Awards and opportunities for training and development.

With the exciting news of our new building opening in the Summer of 2026, we have a wonderful opportunity for an Engineer to join the team on a full time, permanent basis, working days and nights. The shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off, with the working pattern of 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m.

Your new role:

  • Ensuring effective fault diagnosis of any plant and equipment on site that is not operating to the required targets (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC System);
  • Carrying out repairs when required in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activity as instructed;
  • Working with the site production team to maintain production levels;
  • Working effectively with the other engineers onsite.

What do I need to apply?

  • We are looking for candidates who hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and/or have completed an apprenticeship (mechanical/electrical/control skills) with an electrical bias.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast paced/volume manufacturing or production-type environment is required – experience in a commercial laundry setting is a plus!
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/engineering drawings.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A can-do attitude and a good level of written and spoken English.
  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
