Hours: 40 Hours per week working Monday to Friday 7:00 – 15:30

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Driver to work at our Northampton depot. Our fleet includes a range of waste handling trucks, commercial vehicles, and plant machinery.

About the role:

The HGV Driver/Valeter will be responsible for working from the depot and delivering vehicles to our customers and will also be responsible for the valeting of vehicles to a high standard whilst completing the necessary paperwork for the rental department.

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • HGV Class 2 licence or above
  • CPC
  • Experience within a similar role, you could have worked as a HGV Driver, HGV Valeter/Driver, Class 2 Driver, Class 1 Driver, Depot Driver
  • Excellent customer service skills with proficiency in the completion of paperwork
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivery and collection of HGV vehicles
  • Taking workshop vehicles to the HGV Testing station
  • Completion of rental related paperwork
  • Valeting of HGV vehicles
  • Carrying out inspections of vehicles for damage, preparing vehicles for hire, and carrying out and recording daily checks on runner vehicles
  • Collecting parts for the workshop as required
  • Liaising with the hire desk on a regular basis
  • Generally keeping yard clean and tidy
