Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30

Job Overview: As a Paint Sprayer / Shot Blaster, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces through abrasive blasting to ensure optimal finish quality. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate shot blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces.
  • Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces by filling cracks, holes, and joints to ensure a smooth and even surface for painting.
  • Choose appropriate paint materials and colours based on job specifications.
  • Mix paints to achieve the desired colour and consistency.
  • Utilise spray guns and other painting equipment to apply paint coatings evenly and efficiently.
  • Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on painting tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling and applying paint, including the use of protective gear and proper ventilation.
  • Be familiar with the company’s Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
  • Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Car/vehicle or commercial paint sprayer experience
  • At least 3 to 5 years paint spraying experience
  • Ability to do small repairs
  • Ability to use different paint products
  • Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload in order to meet deadlines
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety
  • Excellent work ethic and team player
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance
  • Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
