The Company

Caswell Engineering Services Limited are a long-established family business, operating from our base in Haslingden since 1969 & have completed more than 1,400 new build restaurant projects across the UK.

The Role

We're expanding our installation teams and are looking for experienced ductwork installers who take real pride in their work.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Protect the company’s position and always represent the company in a professional manner.

  • Undertake the installation/decommission of ductwork system components, which may include rectangular, circular and flat oval ductwork (of all pressure classifications), fire-rated, kitchen extract canopies and all other related plant ancillaries.
  • Take instruction from the Project Manager & Site Supervisor, work in accordance with drawings, schedules and instructions.
  • Liaise daily with the Project Manager & Site Supervisor, regarding the work programme issued, and highlight any potential problems, shortages, extra items or delays, promptly.
  • Plan and organise on site work activities, within the scope of your responsibility, in liaison with clients' representatives, other trades and members of the wider construction team.
  • Supervision and on-site training of Mates, Trainees and Apprentices.
  • Travel to sites all over the country in small teams, often lodging away for periods of up to two weeks.
  • Willing to work out of normal working hours to ensure that projects are completed on time.
  • Ensure that any PPE and uniform is worn and kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensure all necessary information is handed in promptly and completed correctly.
  • Maintenance and security of stock levels on the vehicle and other items issued.
  • Ensure that Company vehicles are presentable and maintained.
  • Safe operation and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Practice good housekeeping and work in a tidy and organised manner.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and put your ideas forward to your Line Manager.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to more inexperienced colleagues and help to nurture future talent.
  • Attend training courses when necessary for the needs of the business and your own personal development.
  • Adhere to all health & safety policies, risk assessments and safe working practices, ensuring your own health and safety and that of others.
  • Work in other areas of the Company and perform different tasks from time to time as business needs dictate.

Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • CSCS Skill Card
  • PASMA
  • IPAF

Current valid UK Driving Licence.

Good understanding of HVAC systems.

Experience of working in the HVAC industry.
