Covering our care homes in Yorkshire and the Midlands. Are you a master of your trade with a passion for delivering high standards? Orchard Care Homes is looking for a Mobile Painter & Decorator to work across our 11 care homes across Yorkshire and The Midlands, to ensure our homes remain welcoming, safe, and beautifully maintained.

As Mobile Painter & Decorator, you will act as a point of contact for all decorating queries, ensuring that all decorative tasks are completed on time and to agreed scope, ensuring the home remains pleasant and safe for our residents at all times. This includes:

  • Acting as a point of contact for all decorating queries.
  • Liaising with the Home Manager ensuring the care home is maintained in good decorative order.
  • Ensuring timely completion of allocated decorating tasks, completed to agreed scope.
  • Understanding and meeting statutory and legal requirements such as Food Safety, COSHH and Fire Safety and maintaining a safe environment throughout the care home.
  • Reporting any deficiencies that are out of the scope of this role to the Home Manager and Estates team and follow them up.
  • Respecting residents at all times, especially their individual right to privacy, dignity and choice.
  • Liaising with external contractors to ensure that all requirements relating to Health & Safety and the Care Standards Act legislation are fully met.

  • Master of trade and detail oriented.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • IT literate – confident using MS Office and online FM platforms.
  • Clean driving licence and flexibility to travel, including overnight stays.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Professional, approachable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
