Position Title: FLT Driver

Location: Paneltex Ltd, Somerden Road, Hull, HU9 5PE

Reporting to: Team Leader/Supervisor

Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:30

Salary: From £14.00 DOE

Job Overview

The scope of the role is to assist the manufacturing teams to meet business requirements. Ensuring the workplace is adequately safe and tidy, in line with company health and safety practices. Managing waste and upholding the current recycling regulations. Assisting with the safe manoeuvring of parts around the site. Parts movement will involve the use of FLTs, pallet movers etc and include bulky items.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Banksman duties.
  • Picking and packing duties.
  • General labouring.
  • Maintain a clean working area.
  • Waste management.
  • Be familiar with the company’s Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
  • Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • FLT B1 & B2 (essential) HGV Class 1 licence (preferred)
  • Previous experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Excellent work ethic and team player.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
  • Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
