Job Purpose: We are seeking a fully qualified Electrician, with at least 5 years previous experience, to become a reliable member of our growing team of electricians across the London area.

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

Location: Field based, East London (Van is provided)

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carry out routine maintenance, repair, fault find and the installation of electrical services equipment in customers’ homes and elsewhere in accordance with BS-7671.
  • Provide Electrical certification with a before and after works completed report for any works carried out.
  • Carry out response repairs to electrical services equipment, including fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • The repair of installations, including lighting, power, emergency lighting systems and the replacement of electrical accessories where required.
  • Estimate, requisition and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials to ensure that appropriate and satisfactory repairs and maintenance are carried out following best practice and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
  • Manage vehicle material stock by ensuring correct booking and frequent replenishment of items used occurs.
  • Responsible for the safe use of a range of portable tools, small plant, ladders, and equipment to enable duties of the role to be undertaken.
  • The removal of all Electrical works waste from site and returned to the office for disposal.
  • Adhering to all Health and Safety and compliance regulations whilst completing all aspects of work.

What You'll Bring:

  • Electrical qualifications such as: City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 in Electrical Installation, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 2391 in Electrical Inspection and Testing or equivalent Certification in BS7671 - requirements for Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th Edition with two years of experience working as a test and inspection electrician.
  • Hold a valid CSCS or ECS card.
  • Full clean UK manual driving licence.
  • Safety focused approach to customers and work colleagues.
  • Collaborative, communicative, and adaptable with a proactive mindset.
  • Demonstrated competence in operating IT systems, such as handheld tablets and digital communicators.
  • At least 5 years demonstrable experience as an electrician.
  • Experience in working in the social housing sector.
