The Role

  • Take part in HACCP review meetings.
  • Complete quarterly CCP verification audits.
  • Perform internal audits and assist in completing independent systems audits for other departments according to agreed schedule, and ensure actions raised are documented and signed-off upon completion of corrective/preventive measures.
  • Co-ordinate laboratory testing for sampling products, reviewing, and analysing results to identify non-conformances.
  • Support production and the wider operations teams in adherence to, and maintenance of best practice standards across the business, in line with company procedures, customer and BRC standards.
  • Identify and facilitate training where required.
  • Manage hygiene staff and site hygiene protocols.
  • Assist in the assessment of Green Coffee, packaging, and finished product where required.
  • Take part in NPD projects – trials, first launch (including staff briefing of product standards).
  • Manage supplier approval records and provide relevant administrative support to the technical team.
  • Manage customer complaints.
  • Participate in completing product specifications both internally, and Gold standard specifications.

The Person

  • BSc Food Science or a related degree.
  • Experience working within a food processing environment.
  • BRC/ISO internal auditing experience.
  • Level 2 Food hygiene and HACCP qualifications.
  • A self-starter with an analytical and methodical approach to work.
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
