We are expanding our driver team at our site in Chippenham and looking for passionate, customer-focused drivers to help us bring exceptional service to all of our customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has a strong sense of responsibility and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service day in, day out.

As a key player in our delivery process, you will be the face of the company and responsible for not only delivering our customers’ orders in a polite and professional manner, but championing Albion by building strong relationships with chefs to ensure we are and remain their supplier of choice. We aim to give the majority of our drivers their own route, or cluster of routes, which means you will get to know each and every one of your customers and build lasting relationships with them, becoming the trusted face of the business.

Shifts: 5 days a week, including weekends, start times between 3am and 6 am

Salary: £29,278 per annum

Time Off: 30 days holiday + 22 additional days off (or trade them in for extra pay!)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Completing mandatory vehicle checks, reporting any defects to the Transport management team
  • Maintaining a clean vehicle, ensuring it is topped up with fuel ready for the following day
  • Unloading the order at customer site ensuring delivery notes are followed
  • Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policy

Requirements:

  • A valid UK manual driving licence (Essential)
  • Good geographical knowledge of areas like Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and Swindon
  • Confident driving in areas like Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and Swindon
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
  • Good physical stamina, as the role involves lifting up to 25kgs

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a valid full UK driving licence with no serious endorsements and no more than 6 penalty points within the last 5 years.
