An exciting opportunity has become available at NRG Riverside within our Pendle depot and we are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join the team and help us on our journey to growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for the service and repair of a wide variety of vehicles including refuse trucks.
Specialist training will be provided where needed, to develop your existing skills to support our specialist assets.

What candidate are we looking for?
- Experience from within a HGV Technician/ HGV Mechanic/ HGV Engineer/ Mobile HGV Technician role
- Municipal experience including working on Bin Wagons/ RCVs
- Repairs and wheel alignment
- HGV Technical qualification - NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent.
- Class 2 licence preferred.
- IRTEC accreditation preferred.
- Experience of working in a similar role with an understanding of the HGV industry.
- Great team player whilst also able to work on own initiative.
- Experience in the Waste/Recycling industry would be great, but not essential.
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety practices.
What will be your duties?
- As the HGV Technician you will undertake routine inspection & repair of internal & external customers HGVs within the NRG workshop estate
- Undertake commercial vehicle MOT inspections, repair, and final preparation for MOT test
- Attend breakdowns, diagnose, and complete necessary repairs to a high standard
- Complete all compliance paperwork associated with the repair and maintenance of the rental fleet
