We’re on the hunt forskilled and proactive Automation Engineers to join our fast-growing team.
Workingacross social housing and commercial contracts, you’ll be responsible for reactive callouts, planned maintenance, servicing, fault finding, repairs and installations across a range of automated doors, gates, barriers and access control systems.
We’re particularly interested in engineers who have experience acrossmultiple disciplines — ideally automatic doors, gates/barriers and access control — but strong experience in any one of these areas will be considered.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Responding to reactive callouts and diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently
- Carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Working on automatic doors, gates, barriers and access control systems
- Carrying out surveys, inspections and site assessments
- Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Providing professional and customer-focused service on site
- Accurately recording works completed, parts used and technical information
- Completing job reports, timesheets and relevant documentation
- Working in line with company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Supporting out-of-hours callouts, overtime and an on-call rota where required
What You’ll Bring
- Experience working with automatic doors, gates, barriers and/or access control systems
- ADSA or ADIA accreditation would be highly desirable
- Ideally 3+ years’ industry experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A professional, positive and customer-first attitude
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
