As a Senior Engineer ILSyou will providedirection andguidancefor planning, developing, and executing ILS strategies that ensure the long-term supportability, maintainability, and reliability of systems.

Working closely with engineering, project management, and customer stakeholders, the Senior Engineer ILS ensures that support requirements areidentified, integrated into system design, and sustained throughout the product lifecycle.

Influence the design for supportability – Design for Support, ensure the design affords a high level of availability – Support the Design.

Your responsibilities in this role include

  • Developthe production of ILS plans in alignment with project requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications.
  • Direct and undertake Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses tooptimizesystem lifecycle performance.
  • Support and directthe preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
  • Supportanddevelop maintenance concepts, provisioning data, spare parts lists, and technical manuals.
  • Identifyareas of product design which couldimpacton maintainability of that product.

Recommend alternative solutions to ensure that the product is easy tomaintainin accordance withthe customer requirements and expectations.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned to enhancelogisticsprocesses.
  • Promote and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental best practice.
  • Ensure rigour, resilienceand continuous improvement in solutions, meeting all regulatory requirements, conforming to specifications, qualityand certification requirements.
  • Engendering a culture for the promotion of Marshall Land Systems core values and ethical business behaviour in a tolerant workplace free from discrimination, violenceand harassment.

Technical Skills/Education

  • Knowledge of ILS methodologies, standards (e. g., MIL-STD-1388, DEF STAN 00-600, S3000L), and Defence industry practices.
  • Sound understanding of ILSprinciples.
  • Goodplanning and organisation skills
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation Requirements
  • Use computer packages eg Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, MAX MRP System and Windchill (RELEX).
  • Use of ILSsoftware -Eagle, OPUS10, SIMLOX etc
  • Good written and verbal communication to clearly express views and ideas.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff both internally and externally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering(Mechanical, Electrical, Systems), Logistics, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 5years+of experience in ILS within the Defence or aerospace industry.
  • Desirable to have made progress towards achieving professional accreditation.

  • Flexible and Agile in Working remotely and in an office in different environments with the requirement to travel if necessary.
  • Candidates will need to complete a BPSS check
  • Ability to work accurately and at pace.
