Job Description

Sustainability Coordinator

Newhaven

Quintessence is a niche fragrance company, part of the global LUCTA group, specialising in Fine Fragrance, Personal and Air Care. With operations in UK, India, Europe, US and China we give a global service to our selected clients, which is one of the many reasons we are growing significantly faster than our competition. We are now in a position to recruit a Sustainability Coordinator who will be integral in driving the company forward with our vision for a more sustainable future.

The successful applicant will join our existing team who are pioneering our sustainability initiatives. They will coordinate the data collection for carbon accounting and raw materials while following external sustainability trends and implementing where appropriate.

Due to the nature of this role we are unable to support complete remote working so applicants must be willing to relocate to the South Coast of England where our UK operation is based. We regularly visit our clients so you must be prepared to travel when the business requires.

Main Duties:

·      Data collection for Carbon accounting and raw materials 

·      Classification of raw materials

·      Collate, process and analyse data accurately to improve sustainability performance and support Net Zero, compliance and reporting goals

·      Co-ordinate and support sustainability projects for example in employee engagement, training, best practice, sales support, and Net Zero

·      Following external sustainability related trends and initiatives and implementing internally where appropriate

·      Suggesting ways to improve company sustainability practises

·      Research and summarise key topics to support strategy development

·      Liaising with Lucta sustainability team

Essential skills required:

·      University degree in relevant subject such as geography, environmental science or sustainable business

·      Productive, detail orientated and passionate about sustainability

·      Strong administrative and excellent communication skills

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
