Position Summary
Discover Your Nursing Potential with Quinte Health’s Transition Pool! Ready to take your nursing career to the next level? Quinte Health’s Transition Pool offers a unique opportunity to explore diverse clinical areas, build skills, and find where you truly thrive—all while making a difference in patient care.
Start with an 8‑week orientation program designed for your success:
First 4 weeks: Medicine/Surgical unit with a consistent mentor to build your foundation.
Next 10 shifts: Rotate through specialized units including Sills 3 (Acute Stroke/Rehab), Sills 4 (Complex Continuing Care), BSTU (Behavioral Support), TCU (Transitional Care Unit), Trenton In‑Patient Unit, and Picton In‑Patient Unit.
After a few months, once confident and comfortable, you’ll complete Emerge orientation—2 weeks in Belleville’s Emergency Department and 2 weeks in Trenton’s Emergency Department.

Current certificate of registration in good standing, or eligible for registration, from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current ACLS, or a minimum of CPR or BLS certificate, or proof of enrolment in a recertification course. You will be asked to provide a copy of your valid certificate at the time of hire/
