Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies.

The Senior Bookkeeper will play a vital role in supporting the company's financial operations and reporting processes.
Preferred: The ability to communicate fluently in at least one Eastern European language is desirable. Please state the language and your level of proficiency in your application.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Quick Books
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and related documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures in compliance with organisational policies.
- Monitor financial transactions for discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents to ensure easy retrieval and audit readiness.
- Complete VAT returns
Qualifications
- Four years experience prior accounting role
- Quick Books, is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry, financial record keeping, and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues.
- Relevant professional qualifications are essential, such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a recognised professional accounting qualification (e. g.
ACCA, AAT, CIMA, or equivalent).
