Location: Edgware (HA8)
Pay: From Β£80 a day
Contract Type: Long-Term Supply (September β July 2027)
We have an exciting opportunity for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils at a SEN School in Edgware (HA8)
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for placements at this school, candidates must have:
- 1β2 Years of SEN Experience in a School Setting (Essential): Proven experience working directly within a school environment supporting complex special educational needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Condition / ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, and Moderate Learning Difficulties / MLD).
- Behaviour Management & De-escalation: Experience with positive behaviour management strategies and confidence in handling challenging behaviours. Physical intervention training (e.g., Team Teach or PRICE) is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Familiarity with non-verbal communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, or visual timetables) is advantageous.
- Compliance & Safeguarding:
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child + Adult workforce).
- Up-to-date Safeguarding in Education training.
