We are seeking a highly experienced IBM Integration Architect with deep expertise in IBM's integration ecosystem to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of complex enterprise integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of hands‐on experience in architecting and delivering robust, scalable, and secure integration platforms using IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ, and IBM DataPower.

This role involves providing technical leadership, defining integration strategies, modernizing legacy systems, ensuring high-performance messaging and API‐led connectivity, and collaborating with cross‐functional teams to align integration architectures with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end‐to‐end architecture and design of integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM Integration Bus (IIB) for complex message flows, transformations, routing, and orchestration.
  • Architect and develop IBM MQ services, including queue design, messaging patterns (point‐to‐point, pub/sub), clustering, high availability, and reliable messaging solutions.
  • Design, develop, and optimize IBM DataPower services for security gateway functions, API proxying, XML/JSON transformations, cryptographic operations, WS-* security, OAuth, and perimeter security.
  • Build and govern ACE Integration Services, including REST/SOAP APIs, event‐driven architectures, microservices integration, and hybrid/cloud deployments (e.g., Cloud Pak for Integration, containers/OpenShift).
  • Define integration patterns, best practices, governance models, and reference architectures for enterprise‐scale integrations.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies, create solution blueprints, high‐level/low‐level designs, and integration roadmaps.
  • Lead migration projects from legacy systems (e.g., IIB v10 to ACE v11/v12+, WebSphere MQ to modern messaging) and on‐prem to cloud/hybrid environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, performant, secure, and maintainable.
  • Provide technical mentorship, conduct code/design reviews, and drive adoption of modern integration practices (API‐first, event‐driven, microservices).
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform performance tuning, and implement monitoring/logging strategies.
  • Estimate efforts, contribute to RFPs/proposals, and support pre‐sales activities when required.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise integration architecture and development, with at least 8+ years focused on IBM integration technologies.
  • IBM DataPower development (Multi-Protocol Gateway, Web Service Proxy, XML Firewall, transformation, security policies, API security).
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns (canonical data model, ESB, API gateway, pub/sub, request‐reply, choreography).
  • Experience with modern integration approaches: RESTful APIs, JSON/XML/EDI transformations, event streaming (e.g., Kafka integration), microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and hybrid/multi‐cloud deployments.
  • Proficiency in related technologies: ESQL, Java, XSLT, XPath, JSON Schema, OpenAPI/Swagger, security standards (OAuth 2.0, TLS, SAML, WS-Security).
  • Experience in performance tuning, high‐availability/failover design, monitoring (e.g., IBM Instana, ELK, Prometheus), and CI/CD for integration artifacts.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SOA principles) and agile methodologies.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant IBM certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Solution Architect – App Connect Enterprise, IBM Certified Developer – DataPower, MQ) are highly desirable.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent problem‐solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, handling multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
