Are you an experienced Senior Design Engineer with a passion for turning creative concepts into innovative retail display solutions? I'm partnered with an established UK manufacturer looking to appoint a technically strong and commercially minded Design Engineer to lead projects from concept through to manufacture. Working closely with Sales, Production and Project Management teams, you'll play a key role in designing bespoke retail displays, fixtures and furniture for leading retail and FMCG brands.
The Senior Design Engineer Role:
- Design bespoke retail displays, POS and furniture solutions.
- Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Take projects from concept through to manufacture.
- Work closely with Production and Project teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
- Mentor and support junior members of the design team.
- Solve technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
About You You'll ideally have:
- Strong SolidWorks experience.
- Previous experience designing retail displays, shopfitting, bespoke furniture or joinery products.
- Excellent understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM).
- Experience producing production-ready engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of timber, metal and acrylic fabrication.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What's on Offer:
- £45,000–£50,000 salary.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm.
- Overtime available.
