THE ROLE We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Sourcing Manager to build and lead our soft home sourcing function in EU. This person will be Quince's first hire in EU, tasked with identifying and onboarding new vendor partners from scratch. The role will focus primarily on cotton bedding, kids bedding and window coverings, with potential expansion into other home textile categories such as towels, table linens, and kitchen textiles. This is a rare opportunity to own and build a greenfield sourcing operation in a high-impact category. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of home textile manufacturing, strong vendor relationships (or the ability to cultivate them), and the operational rigor to scale new supply chains that deliver on cost, quality, and lead time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vendor Development & Management: Identify, vet, and onboard high-quality, compliant vendor partners across EU. Establish supplier scorecards and KPIs to drive partner performance. Negotiate commercial terms including MOQs, pricing, capacity planning, and lead times. Build and maintain strong relationships with factory owners and production leaders. Serve as Quince’s local ambassador, representing our brand and values to partners.
- Sourcing Strategy & Expansion: Develop and execute a long-term vendor and material sourcing roadmap for the EU region. Identify white space opportunities in product categories and regional capabilities. Support broader soft home sourcing initiatives across table linens, towels, and kitchen textiles as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HQ teams in planning, design, production, QA, and merchandising to ensure seamless communication and execution. Maintain clear and timely reporting on project status, risks, and vendor performance.
REQUIREMENTS 10+ years in sourcing, product development, or supply chain roles within home textiles (bedding, drapery, towels, etc.). Deep understanding of textile, weaving/finishing processes, costing, testing and home goods manufacturing workflows. Strong network of EU-based soft home vendors. Proven track record of owning product development timelines, cost negotiations, and factory onboarding. Fluency in English. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Textiles, or related field.
