Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The Head of Merchandising, Women’s Apparel will be responsible for curating and managing the product catalog to meet and exceed UK customer expectations, while aligning with Quince\’s overall brand and pricing strategy. This role involves influencing and participating in the sourcing strategy, setting prices, and being accountable for sales, margins, and returns. Success in this position means driving revenue growth, optimizing margins, and ensuring a product assortment that resonates with the UK market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive high growth trajectory to meet our ambitious targets.
  • Ensure the product catalog meets/exceeds customer expectations in the UK market.
  • Influence and participate in the sourcing strategy to ensure the catalog is locally relevant and meets pricing/margin requirements.
  • Set pricing in line with Quince\’s Customer Value Proposition (CVP) and margin ambitions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales, margin, and returns data to make informed decisions.
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, marketing, and supply chain.
  • Stay up-to-date with Canadian market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Manage product presentation and assortment planning.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • +12 years of proven experience in merchandising, preferably in e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of the UK retail market and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret sales and financial data.
  • Product obsessed with experience in leveraging both data and a critical eye to anticipate customer needs (both the “science” and “art” of retail merchandising).
  • Experience with pricing strategy and margin management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
